ANGELIE RENAY MELZER

Angelie trained on full scholarship at the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Colorado Ballet, and Milwaukee Ballet schools. She danced professionally with the Colorado Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, and Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, performing numerous principal and soloist roles. Her favorites include the Balanchine ballets Four Temperaments, Western Symphony, Allegro Brilliante and Serenade, as well as Odette in Swan Lake, Cinderella, and Sugar Plum and Arabian in Nutcracker. She continues to enjoy being a principal guest artist and has had several new works created on her, including the solo Magnolia and Duet and Then There Was, which premiered in a gala performance with the
Martha Graham Company. Angelie also enjoys choreographing; one of her favorite projects was Lewis and Clark Ballet: A Tremendous Journey, for which she was commissioned by the city of Great Falls, MT in 2005. While residing in New Mexico with her husband and three little boys, Angelie has worked with New Mexico Ballet Company and is excited to add Ballet Repertory Theatre of New Mexico!
