Briana VanSchuyver began her ballet training with Ballet Repertory Theatre at its inception and has continued training and performing with the company for more than 15 years. She has danced principal roles (Clara, Arabian pas de deux, and Mirliton pas de deux) in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake (Odette), and Carmen (Micaela); and featured roles in Paquita, Beauty and the Beast, The Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and BRT's mixed repertory shows. Additional Ballet Repertory Theatre credits include Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Coppelia, and Casa de Bernarda Alba. Briana studied ballet and modern at the University of New Mexico, and was selected to perform in both student and faculty concerts. She graduated with a double major in Psychology and Philosophy from UNM in 2006. |
