EMILY DUNKIN

Emily Dunkin began her training with Karen Alwin in ballet, tap and jazz at the age of four. She earned her Cecchetti VI teaching certificate, was a soloist in Christmas Joy, and has danced with New Mexico Ballet Company. She has danced principal and soloist roles with Ballet Repertory Theatre, including Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Clara in The Nutcracker and Cobweb in A Midsummer Night's Dream. She performed the role of Anybodys in the UNM production of West Side Story and danced in Maria de Buenos Aires at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. She attended Ballet Hispanico's summer workshop in New York City on full scholarship. Emily is a competitive ballroom dancer and trains with Hans Kliphuis. She graduated cum laude from UNM with a BAFA in Art History, and is working toward a Masters degree in Art History.
