Thax von Reither began his dance career in 1990 with the Northwest Florida Ballet. He performed with the company for 2 years while pursuing his degree in physical education at the University of West Florida. In 1993, Thax joined Ballet Pensacola as a principal dancer. He has performed lead roles in Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Beauty and the Beast, Coppelia, Giselle, Arabian Nights, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Firebird. In 1995, Thax moved to Boise, Idaho, where he performed with Idaho Dance Theatre in more than 150 original contemporary ballets and modern pieces. Throughout his career, Thax has choreographed numerous ballet, modern, and jazz works, including Fraternus, Letting Go, Orientation, Seasons of Emotion, and Skyy. Thax is excited to be in his third season with Ballet Repertory Theatre and is looking forward to an amazing twentieth anniversary season! |
